Pet Cremation with Dignity and Compassion

Honor Your Pet’s Memory

Losing a cherished pet can be devastating. And just like when any loved one passes away, decisions need to be made regarding what to do with your pet’s remains. Paws Pet Cremation was created to offer a respectful and dignified option for pet parents in Los Angeles who want to provide loving after care for their pet companions. We offer:

Individual pet cremation – Also referred to as private cremations, individual cremations are done one body at a time, similar to human cremation. All cremations at Paws Pet Cremation’s state-of-the-art facility are individual, maintain the chain of identity, and are in full compliance with the IAOPCC’s (International Association of Pet Cemeteries and Crematories) Code of Ethics. This is what you have the right to expect, and this is what we provide.

24/7 availability – Someone will always be available to take your call. Plus, our “open door policy” means you can stop by and see our facilities at any time during our normal business hours.

A dedicated facility – Unlike some pet cremation specialists that outsource the actual cremations to other facilities, Paws’ brand new, state-of-the-art facility is equipped with two crematoriums.

Ability to have a final viewing – Our 5,100 square foot facility includes a viewing room where pet families can arrange to pay their final respects.

Compassion and integrity – You can rest assured that your pet will be treated with dignity and respect from the moment he or she arrives in our care until the cremains are returned to you. As animal lovers, this is as important to us as it is to the pet parents we serve.

Let Paws Give You the Help You Need

From the time that it becomes clear that your pet’s days with you are limited, the pet loss specialists at Paws can help you navigate through all of the arrangements that must be made, including:

Referrals to Los Angeles Veterinarians – Whether you need a referral to a local veterinarian to care for your pet during his or her illness or want a second medical opinion regarding his or her illness, we can help. Paws maintains a list of recommended Los Angeles veterinarians on our website.

Assistance Making Arrangements for Euthanasia – The decision to euthanize a beloved pet is never easy. Sometimes, though, it is the most humane and loving decision you can make. If the time has come, Paws can help you arrange for pet euthanasia in your home or at a veterinarian’s office. Click here to learn more».

Pick Up of the Remains – Paws responds immediately when your pet passes, and provides a free pick-up service within a 10-mile radius of our facility. Pick up anywhere else in Los Angeles is also available. If you prefer to personally transport your pet to our facility, please call ahead to ensure that a Paws representative will be available when you arrive.

Ability to Create a Free Online Pet Memorial – You can create an online pet memorial page here on the Paws website using our easy memorial creation form. Your memorial will include your pet’s photo, breed and temperament, and special memories that you have. Share the link to your memorial with friends and family via email or social networking sites. Memorials can be as unique as the lives they celebrate.

Options for Your Pet’s Cremains – Including memorial urns and keepsakes, burial at sea, or the unique Let Your Love Grow remembrance plantings.

Help Finding Grief Counselors – If you’re feeling overwhelmed by your grief and need some extra assistance trying to get your life to a “new normal,” Paws maintains a list of recommended pet grief counselors who can help.

Understand Why Our Certifications Matter

Paws Pet Cremation was created by pet owners who saw a need for loving and compassionate after care. To ensure that Paws would provide the most loving and respectful experience possible they became Certified Crematory Operators and received Pet Loss and Grief Companioning Certifications.

These certifications matter because they provide assurance that Paws:

  • Is staffed by pet care professionals who have received specialized training in how to be a companion for a pet parent’s grief journey. We are honored to be there for you at your time of need. This is not just a “business transaction” for you or for us.

  • Is designed for and is operating to the highest professional standards. Your pet will never be mishandled.

  • Takes appropriate steps to ensure proper identification of each pet from intake until the cremains are returned to the pet parents.

  • Maintains all appropriate records.

In addition to our certifications, Paws Pet Cremation is also a member of the International Cemetery, Cremation and Funeral Association (ICCFA) and the Pet Loss Professionals Alliance (PLPA). We stay current with all industry news and regulations.
