Certified Crematory Operator; Pet Loss & Grief Companioning Certification
Liz, a Los Angeles native, graduated from Mt. San Antonio College with a B.S. in Social and Behavioral Science. While she continued her education at Cal State University of Los Angeles, Liz also began to work with Nicole and Rebecca at Chubby’s Cruisers Inc, where she later became the COO of the company. In helping to grow Chubby’s Cruisers, Liz discovered that she has a true passion and talent for business operations. Now Liz is applying her strong business operations skills to ensuring that Paws Pet Cremation is the most well-run pet crematory in Southern California.
To help bring our vision to reality, Liz became a Certified Crematory Operator and completed the Pet Loss and Grief Companioning Certification course. As a pet aftercare specialist Liz is dedicated to providing pet parents with a very compassionate, respectful and professional experience.
Just like our clients, Liz has always loved animals. As a child Liz was the proud “mommy” to two turtles, Tommy and Chuckie. Liz was blessed with a chubby little Chihuahua mutt and named him Pedro. He is the king of her house who enjoys a good cuddle with Liz and grandma. Liz seeks a grey Frenchie to add to her family. When not at work or spoiling her dog she enjoys hiking, travel, attending concerts and music festivals and, most importantly, spending time with her friends and large family.
Pet Loss & Grief Companioning Certification
Rebecca is the woman that you see on the side of the road rescuing stray dogs. A “caregiver” by nature, she just wants to help these dogs get back to their families.
Like Nicole, Rebecca became passionate about founding Paws Pet Cremation after her own personal experience losing a beloved pet. This led her to complete the Pet Loss and Grief Companioning Certification Course which is jointly sponsored by the International Cemetery, Cremation and Funeral Association (ICCFA), the Pet Loss Professionals Alliance (PLPA) and the Two Hearts Pet Loss Center. Rebecca is honored to be able to help console clients during their time of grief, and give them the peace of mind that comes from knowing that their beloved pets are being cared for with love and respect.
A Southern California native, Rebecca enjoys bicycling, hiking, baking and reading. Second to spending time with her wife, Nicole, their son, Theodore, and their pups, Ivory and Reina, is exercise, as Rebecca believes that maintaining a healthy lifestyle is essential.
Certified Crematory Operator
Nicole has always respected the bond between pets and their care givers, but it was only after the loss of her beloved dog, Joey, that she really understood just how strong that bond can be. During this difficult time of mourning, Nicole realized how peaceful and comforting the aftercare process can be when it is done with the utmost respect and care. This motivated Nicole to work with Rebecca and Liz to open Paws Pet Cremation. As part of this process Nicole completed the course offered by the International Cemetery, Cremation and Funeral Association (ICCFA) in conjunction the Pet Loss Professionals Alliance (PLPA) to become a Certified Crematory Operator. Nicole’s goal is to be able to provide a high level of reassurance to all of the pet lovers with whom she has the privilege of working.
For the past decade Nicole has been the owner of an award-winning local Culver City bicycle store, Chubby’s Cruisers. This has given her invaluable customer service and business management experience, which she brings with her to Paws Pet Cremation.
Nicole was born in Los Angeles and raised in Blue Springs, Missouri. Nicole currently lives in Los Angeles and shares her life with her wife Rebecca, their three-year-old son, Theodore, and their pups, Ivory and Reina. In her spare time Nicole enjoys bike rides at the beach, playing with her son, and spending time with family and friends.
